Manchester is in which region?

Think about how England is divided into broad geographic regions. Manchester is in Greater Manchester, which sits in the northwest of England. That places it in the North of England, a common label for the northern part of the country. The Midlands are central England, the South is further south, and Scotland is a separate country north of England. So, because Manchester is in the northern part of England, the North of England is the best description.
