Which organization is commonly associated with conserving historic houses and countryside open to the public?

Think about an organization whose job is to save historic houses and the countryside and to let people visit them. The National Trust does exactly that: a UK charity dedicated to preserving places of historic interest and natural beauty, and opening many houses, gardens, and landscapes to the public. It relies on memberships, donations, and visitor admissions to fund upkeep, rather than being a government department. The other options are different kinds of institutions—museums, a postal service, or a broadcaster—so they don’t fit the idea of conserving historic properties and open countryside for public access.
