Which region is commonly known as the Home Counties?

The idea being tested is understanding that “Home Counties” is the actual name used for the counties surrounding London. This belt around the capital is known for being the area many people historically commuted from to work in the city. So the best answer is the option that literally says “The Home Counties,” because that label is the traditional name for that group of counties. It’s not meant to represent a larger region like South East England or the East of England, nor the far north region of Yorkshire and the Humber. Those are different regional groupings, while the Home Counties is the specific label for the area around London.
